Merritt Plant Sale Fall 2012--Coming Up!!

Put aside Saturday Oct 6, 9-3pm and Sunday Oct 7, 12-3 for the wonderful sale of perennials and fall edibles. This is the best time for planting California native plants and the edible cool season crops. See you there.

The poster for the sale is an Eriogonum fasciculatum, our native California Buckwheat. It is a colonizer plant and an absolute magnet for beneficial insects. It takes minimal water, grows in a patch, and is perennial with white to cream flowers in the summer. By fall, the flowers turn rootbeer-colored progressing to a stylish black.
